Meet Señora Bohan
Hola! Welcome to my Spanish classroom webpage. I am so happy to be a 5th and 7th grade Spanish teacher at Har-Bur Middle School. To me, learning another language and culture is not only fun but incredibly beneficial outside of the classroom. My goal is to help students obtain the tools they need to be successful in the Spanish classroom while enjoying it and developing skills that will help them in all areas of life.
This is my 10th year teaching Spanish in Region #10. I live in Burlington with my husband, my four children, my dog and my cat.
I am from Durham, Connecticut and attended the University of Connecticut. While a student at UConn I studied abroad in Granada, Spain where I lived with a host family and took courses at the Centro de Lenguas Modernas. It was such a great experience and definitely instilled in me a love for travel and learning about new cultures.
After earning my Master's in Education from the University of Connecticut, I moved down to North Carolina where I taught middle school Spanish. Living and teaching in both the South and in a military community where people came from all over the country and world was wonderful.
In addition to teaching, I also enjoy spending time with my family, reading, listening to music, hiking, running, watching movies, going to the library and bargain shopping. Some of my other favorite things are animals, Disney movies, sports, and current events.
