6th Grade Spanish Homework
Homework will be assigned on Mondays and due on Fridays. Homework will be accepted late for half credit.
May 23: Our final homework assignment of the year! Please complete the Chapter 3A/End of Year Study Guide. The test will begin June 1st. Click here for an electronic copy.
May 16: 1) Er/Ir quiz on Friday. 2) ER/IR verb practice worksheet (with the hungry caterpillar on it). Click here for an electronic copy.
May 9: Pages 8 and 9 if necessary (most students finished this in class last week on Friday) and either 10 minutes of online practice or page 10 in the packet. Click here for an electronic copy of the latter assignment.
May 3: No homework this week.
April 27: Page 6 and 7 in Packet 3A (Practice of Gustar and Encantar)
April 20: No mandatory homework this week. If you are interested in completing enrichment pages in the Chapter 2B packet (pages 11-17), I will be collecting these on Friday.
April 6: Translating practice #2 to apply what we learned from last week's homework assignment. This week's copy includes a back with important vocabulary from earlier in the year in case any one needs a refresher. Click here for an electronic copy.
March 30: Translating practice. Click here for a copy. Please note as well that grades close April 4th so there are only a few classes left to turn in missing work. Remember I always accept late homework for partial credit.
March 24: No homework due to Good Friday. Have a great weekend!
March 15: Complete pages 9, 10, 11 if not completed in class. Students worked on this assignment on Wednesday, and the substitute teacher shared that most students were able to finish in class.
March 9th: 1) Vocabulary Quiz on March 10th 2) Complete pages 7 and 8 in our Chapter 2B Packet. Due on Monday, March 14th.
March 2: Complete page 2 in our Chapter 2B Packet to practice out new vocabulary.
February 24: No mandatory homework this week. However, this is the final week to complete any of the bonus enrichment pages of our Chapter 2A packet. It would also be a good week to complete any missing assignments for partial credit.

February 3: Two choices -students only need to do one 1) Online practice for 30 minutes with adult signature to confirm. Click here for a copy and go to the homepage for the links. 2) AR Verb practice on pages 18 and 24 of Packet 2A (unfortunately I do not have an electronic copy of this)
January 27: Complete pages 15 and 16 in the Chapter 2A Packet. Also, very short quiz Friday on the five AR Verb endings. (o, as, a, amos, an)
January 20: 10 minutes of online practice of subject pronouns. Click here for the link to several different choices of videos, games and practice quizzes. You may do the crossword puzzle on page 20 in your packet instead if you do not have access to the internet. Click here for a copy of the instructions and paper to have signed (you could also sign the planner or write short note)
January 13: Complete pages 11 and 13 in Packet 2A.
January 6: Finish pages 5 and 6 from packet if necessary. Vocabulary quiz on Monday on vocabulary from Chapter 2A.
December 23: No homework during the December break. ¡Felices Fiestas! Happy Holidays!
December 16: Finish Diamond Poem about someone else if you did not finish in class. Click here for electronic copy of instructions.
December 9: Complete page 12 in the packet. Also, we will have a listening, reading and vocabulary test on Thursday. I recommend that students study the vocabulary if they do not feel confident that they know it.

No more homework this year. As I spend the remainder of June home with the new baby, I wish you all a wonderful rest of the year and fantastic summer too!
May 18/19: Study for end of year test which will begin on Friday with the writing and speaking portions. The study guide we worked on in class is a great resource for reviewing and preparing. March 31: A & D Block: Complete page 3 in Chapter 2A packet. It's a crossword puzzle so be sure to spell carefully.

March 23/24: No homework. Optional homework: Bonus pages from back of Chapter 2A packet due next class.
March 16/17: No homework. However, next week will be the last week to submit extra credit pages from our current Chapter 2A packet so students may work on those.
March 11, 12, 13, 14: No homework with the exception of C Block students who need to complete the reading activity and reading survey and turn it in on Monday, March 16.
March 9/10: Quiz on AR Verbs next class.
March 3/4 and 5/6: Practice AR Verbs online with the website conjuguemos for at least 30 minutes total. Week of February 9: No homework this week as a result of the test which we are finishing up and the long weekend.
February 3/4: Our midyear test starts Thursday/Friday. I recommend using the study guide as a resource for studying.
January 28/29: Study for midyear assessment. Students received study guide and were encouraged to work on it before going over it next class.
January 26/27: Read pages 8 and 10. Complete pages 11 and 12. Subject pronoun quiz on Friday (with the exception of C Block students who have not yet started subject pronouns due to missed classes from the assembly and snow day - I will update the page with C Block's quiz date when I have determined the new date)
Week of January 19-23: No homework this week. However, students with missing assignments may still complete the missing work for half credit and optional extra credit/enrichment activities are available in the back of the Chapter 2A packet and the back of our classroom.
January 15/16: Page 6 in Chapter 2A Packet.
January 7: Pages 4 and 5 in Chapter 2A Packet.
January 5: 1) Pages 1 and 2 in Chapter 2A packet. 2) Some A Block students need to complete the Marilu and Kiko reading activity. 3) A Block students need to turn in penpal letters this week.
December 15-19: No homework this week. However, I will be collecting Chapter 1B packets on Thursday or Friday from all students in D Block and from students in A or C Block who completed any of the bonus pages for extra credit.
December 8-12: No homework this week. Therefore, it would be a great opportunity to make up missing work which can be turned in for half credit, complete the optional extra credit pages in the back of the Chapter 1B packet or do the enrichment activities which can be found on the bulletin board in the back of the classroom.
December 3/4: Pages 10 and 12 in the packet. No need to do page 11.
December 1/2: 1) Pages 8 and 9 in Packet 1B 2) Vocabulary quiz on Thursday for A & D Block and on Friday for C Block. Click here to practice with online flashcards.
November 17/18: 1) Pages 6 and 7 in Packet 1B. 2) Rewrite paragraph from test if you earned a 17 or below as a final grade. You may simply write it on another paper. See me with any questions about how to make edits. This is due 11/24 for A and D Blocks and 11/25 for C Block.
November 12/13: Complete pages 2 and 5 in our Chapter 1B packet to practice our new vocabulary.
November 3/4: We will finish our test the following class, but no written homework.
October 28/29: Study Guide. Our test will be next week, starting on Monday with the listening part of the test. Click here for an electronic copy of the study guide and outline.

October 20 and 21st: Page 9 in the Chapter 1A packet. Reminder that for Part C, you will sometimes leave statements blank since neither Marisol or Pablo said them.

October 14th and 17th (Big jump due to Sessions Woods field trip): Page 8 in our Chapter 1A packet. Write 7 sentences based on the pictures. Vocabulary list may be used. This will be a presentational writing grade and homework passes cannot be used for this assignment.
